Yosemite National Park, Northern California – USA, June 21, 2007.
Departing the park, heading east, after an amazing whirlwind return visit to Yosemite, this was the last memorable glimpse of all things Yosemite before finishing the climb to 10,000 foot Tioga Pass and on down to Lee Vining, CA/Route 395 North.
Tenaya Lake, 2184 m altitude, crystal clear, perhaps the freshest water on the planet. Twilight dark, in shorts and t-shirt, I endured ravenous hordes of starving sierra alpine mosquitoes at lake’s pristine edge. The battery died before I completed zenith and nadir shots. A passing rainbow trout took interest and snatched a quick bug meal.
