El Capitan, Yosemite National Park, CA – USA. A small band of young rock climbers observing 5 teams ascending El Cap, a 3 to 5 day undertaking.
The gentleman in the red plaid shirt invited me to look through his scope. I could see a two-man team working their way up the massive wall on the right. I mentioned that I had a climber friend who fell to his death rapelling to assist 2 others in distress on one of these walls.
